patientMpower was initially founded by CEO Eamonn Costello in 2015, following his own experiences in caring for his father.

The concept was simple, but completely novel in 2015: Develop technology that will empower patients to better manage their own condition and enable clinicians to monitor patients at home, reducing the burden of care on services, patients and families.

But enabling the digital transformation of healthcare takes more than just a good idea! The role of partnership in solution design and implementation cannot be understated. Clinical experts, patient advocates, research organisations and innovation networks have all been crucial to our development.

Today, patientMpower enables clinical care and research in diverse condition types, empowering thousands of patients, in centres across the US, UK and EU. But those founding principles of innovation, patient-centricity and partnership remain central to our work.
